Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how BJCRUM uses cookies and similar technologies on the website at bjcrum.com and the app at app.bjcrum.com. It describes the storage used by these different services and the controls available in your browser.

Read this policy alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Cookies and Browser Storage

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. They can be sent back to the site that set them when you make another request. Some last only for a browsing session; others remain until they expire or you delete them.

Local storage is a separate browser feature that lets a site remember information between visits. Session storage is limited to the current browser tab or session. Unlike cookies, these stores are not automatically included in every request to a server.

2. The BJCRUM Website

The marketing website and these legal pages use local storage to remember the light or dark theme you select. The stored value is named bjcrum-theme and remains until you change it or clear the site's browser storage. It does not contain your prompts, account details, or payment information.

The website does not include browser analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or marketing cookies. Its fonts and visual assets are served with the website rather than loaded from a font or advertising service. The hosting provider may process standard request and security logs to deliver and protect the site, as described in our Privacy Policy.

The prompt composer does not save your prompt in the website's local storage. When you submit a prompt, it is included in the URL used to open the app. The app can then retain it temporarily while you sign in. Do not include sensitive information in a prompt.

3. The BJCRUM App

The app is a separate service at app.bjcrum.com. Its browser storage supports sign-in and the features you use. Relevant examples include:

PurposeTechnologyHow it is used
Sign-in stateLocal storageKeeps account authentication state available between visits; it is cleared when you sign out or clear site data.
Prompt handoffSession storageHolds a submitted prompt during sign-in. A pending prompt is used only within a 30-minute window and is cleared when consumed; closing the tab or clearing site data also removes it.
Invitation handoffLocal storageHolds a pending invitation during account creation. It is valid for up to one hour and cleared when consumed or when you clear site data.
Interface preferencesLocal storageRemembers functional preferences and dismissed guidance so the app can preserve your choices.

App storage is scoped to the app's origin and is separate from the website's theme preference. Blocking or clearing it may sign you out, reset your preferences, or interrupt a prompt or invitation handoff.

4. Third-Party Services

If you choose a third-party sign-in provider or open a payment checkout, you will interact with that provider's service. It may use cookies or browser storage under its own policies to authenticate you, secure transactions, or prevent fraud.

Payments are processed by Stripe. You can read Stripe's privacy policy for information about its handling of data and browser technologies.

AI model providers process prompts as described in our Privacy Policy. Sending a prompt for generation does not itself mean that those providers place a cookie in your browser.

5. Your Browser Controls

You can use your browser's privacy or site-data settings to inspect, delete, or block cookies and local storage for bjcrum.com and app.bjcrum.com. Your browser's help pages explain how to manage these controls.

  • Clearing bjcrum.com site data resets the saved theme. The website remains readable without a stored preference.
  • Clearing app.bjcrum.com site data can sign you out and remove locally saved preferences or pending actions.
  • Blocking a sign-in or payment provider's necessary storage may prevent that provider's service from working.
  • Private browsing may keep storage only for that private session.

These browser controls are separate from deleting your app account or requesting deletion of information held on our servers. For those requests, see our Privacy Policy or contact fax@bjcrum.com.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the technologies used by the website or app change. The updated policy will be posted here with a new date. If additional technologies require a choice or consent under applicable law, we will provide the relevant information and controls before using them.

7. Contact Us
